The bail bond industry is growing
at a phenomenal rate. With this brings competition that was unheard
of even as close as five years ago. With this competition, Bail
Agents are being required to be "relaxed" with their requirements to
write bail. Agents are now being required to extend terms, accept
"other than standard" collateral, and work harder than ever before
to keep up with the growing crush of a market that is experiencing
heavy growth.
We at Bail Bond Support Services have recognized
this trend. After talking with many owners of both large and small
agencies, along with dozens of agents, we discovered that there were
common problems within ALL of these agencies.
The two most glaring issues that were recurring
were:
1) Accounts Receivables - Due to
many of the agencies not having the time nor necessary resources, we
found many were behind on their collections in simple
receivables, nor were they adequately staffed to provide complete
records of items paid or still open. Many agencies were not even
sending invoices or account statements to their clients or the
clients indemnitors.
2) Account Collections - A Bail
Bond Agency's/Agent's main priority is to write bail. Without this
critical process, they would simply not be in business. When we
addressed collections with these agencies, most if not all agreed
that they were not staffed or adequately trained in collections of
unpaid accounts due to them. More importantly, we found that
those that were actually using some type of collection agency, were
very unhappy with the results that they were getting.
Well, we listened! We
developed a business that catered to the needs of the Bail Bond
Industry only. We hired gifted A/R clerks and Collection
agents. We then thoroughly trained them within the Bail
Industry... by doing this, we were able to provide a staff that
understood our clients needs and were able to provide profits that
our clients thought were long gone... BUT we didn't stop
there!
After our first couple years in business, we went
back to our clients and asked them some more questions regarding
their business needs. In doing this, we were able to put
together a company that offers the most COMPLETE service that has
ever come about within the bail industry.
